Policy on Protection of Personal Information

Kyoritsu Maintenance (hereafter, “the Company”) strongly recognizes the importance and social duty of protecting privacy and personal information, and has therefore established the following Policy on Protection of Personal Information. The Company strives to manage personal information appropriately.

1. Collection, use and provision of personal information

The Company compiles personal information by legal and fair means, with the aim of providing business services, responding to requests for information and inquiries, analyzing surveys and using the information for the Company’s hiring activities. Personal information is used within the scope needed to achieve these purposes. In the event that there is a need to use personal information beyond the scope required for these uses, this will be announced on the website.

The personal information held by the Company that the individual entered in forms or registration reports, among others, is jointly used by the following Group companies and related organizations. However, even in this case it is only used within the scope required for the objectives described above.

In the event that the Company compiles personal information indirectly from a third party, the Company will use this information within the scope needed to achieve its objectives after confirming with the provider that this personal information has been compiled appropriately from the person concerned and making contractual allowances.

The Company may entrust personal information to an outside contractor to the extent necessary for the contractor to carry out operations. In this case, the Company carefully manages the use of this information, and strives to protect personal information in the content of the contract as well.

The Company does not provide the personal information that it holds to third parties, with the following exceptions.
(1) The individual concerned has given permission;
(2) Requests were made for disclosure of personal information based on laws or other;
(3) The Company’s interests are significantly damaged due to significant violations of the terms of use; and/or
(4) It is deemed necessary to protect significant interests such as human life, health or financial assets.

2. Secure management of personal information

The Company takes logical safety measures to prevent the illegal access to personal information held by the Company, as well as the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of this information.

3. Disclosure, corrections and deletion of personal information

In the event that the individual concerned requests the disclosure, correction or deletion of the personal information managed by the Company, the Company will respond promptly within reason and based on socially accepted ideas and norms, after following procedures to confirm the person’s identity to prevent the fraudulent falsification of personal information by a third party.

4. Compliance with laws and other standards

The Company complies with Japan’s laws and/or standards concerned with the management of personal information.

5. Inquiries regarding personal information

Please contact the inquiry desk below with any inquiries regarding the Company’s handling of personal information. After confirming the individual’s identity, we will respond within a logical amount of time and to a logical extent.
