The company name can be divided into two parts: "Kyoritsu" and "Maintenance." Both reflect the vision of our founder, Haruhisa Ishizuka.
"Kyoritsu" embodies the meaning of standing together with customers, with society, and with all those who support us—in other words, "to have a solid presence in the world."
While "Maintenance" typically evokes the image of upkeep and management, its primary meaning is "to maintain one's livelihood," reflecting Ishizuka's determination to establish a business in student dormitories, which was the company's original business.
It is a visual representation of "Kyoritsu" and "Maintenance." The white lettering represents both the image of people standing together, derived from the kanji character "人" (person), and the letter "M," which is the initial of "Maintenance." This is surrounded by a circle symbolizing harmonious and smooth relationships. Furthermore, the circle represents infinity, expressing development and expansion into the future.
Please see Company Overview.
Kyoritsu Maintenance operates businesses related to "eating," "living," and "staying," such as student dormitories, employee dormitories, Dormy Inn, and Kyoritsu Resort. For details about each business, please see Business Overview.
While the 18-year-old population is indeed decreasing, the enrollment rate in higher education institutions such as universities, junior colleges, and vocational schools has been increasing year by year. As a result, we expect that a certain scale of student numbers will be maintained for the time being.
The essence of our business is the management and operation of dormitories, hotels, etc. Therefore, our business objective is not to own land and buildings. We develop our business based on the premise of long-term bulk leasing and subleasing from owners who possess the land and buildings.
Our fiscal year ends on March 31. We also announce financial results quarterly.
